Are There Any Ballpoint Refills That Fit The Rollerball Pen?

I've read several threads asking a similar question, but those threads seem to be asking about the Le Grand pen. I'm wondering if there are any ballpoint refills (Montblanc or other manufacturer) that will fit the Meisterstuck Classique Rollerball Pen. Thanks.

Not made by Mb, not sure about other manufacturers.

Are you aware the fine liner and rollerball refills are interchangable though?

Hello.

I know that Monteverde has some refills to fit montblanc pens and rollerballs, and Monteverde makes ballpoints refill wich feels like rollerballs, filled with ink gel. Maybe you can try searching Monteverde website and look by yourself if you found what you need.

Kind regards.

Please excuse my poor english, but it is not my mothern language and maybe it is wrong my grammar. Any Suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

With a bit of tweaking to a Pilot G2 refill, one can get those to fit. They are extremely smooth and can be purchased in quantity in many colors from cultpens. That's where I would get refills if my pink Pilot G2 went empty.

you can use MB ball point refills in a MB Classic RB, but you need an adapter. Not sure if MB still makes them, I have an extra one if you need it. The adapter is just a piece of plastic that slips into the back of the ball point refill.

I'll try and post some pics tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone for the replies. I've tried using a rollerball multiple times, and I find that I prefer the feel of a ballpoint pen better. However, I like the look of the MB Classique Rollberball over the ballpoint.

I looked on the Monteverde website to see if there was any information on fitting a ballpoint refill in a rollerball pen, but couldn't find any info. I may call them today to ask them.

As far as the adapter, I've Googled for it and couldn't find anyone selling them. I e-mailed a few retailers (Fountain Pen Hospital, WorldLux) to see if they have them. Soulmaker1, I may take you up on your offer!

When I can get this figured out, I'll be buying my first Montblanc pen. I've admired them for years and looking forward to writing with one!

I talked to Fountain Pen Hospital and Monteverde. FPH knew of the adapter, but haven't sold them in quite some time, so no luck there. I talked to Monteverde and they don't sell a ballpoint refill that will fit the rollerball. They didn't know anything about the adapter.

If I'm able to get the adapter from Soulmaker, this will be my best bet.

As said, just get creative.

I've seen people use springs, small bits of plastic, thick bushings, etc. Just go to home depot and use your imagination. I know that may seem a bit silly to do to an expensive pen, but the reality is that no one except for you will know the difference.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
