According to Lutz Fiebig of penboard this model is scarcer than 111T because it was produced during the war time hence production number is very small.

I have only one Toledo, an M700 from the early '90s, imprinted "Pelikan W. Germany." It's a part of my Daily Core and currently has a steel B nib.

 

I love it when folks complete a set. Such a great feeling!

I have been using it (carefully) this week, though I think I'll leave it home when I go hiking later this morning.

Call this destiny or coincidence, but I was 1 hour ago at a pen shop in Versailles; I went there for a completely different pen, but ended up buying a M900 Toledo.

My wallet is crying, but those are tears of joy ! And I come to this forum, and see this thread. *drools*

It is truly gorgeous collection.

 

I am very sorry to ask this basic question. According to the reference of Toledo in the Pelikan's Pen Exchange web page, the Toledo was first produced in 1931. "1932 Pelikan Tolede T111 (Toledo)" in your post means that your T111 was produced in 1932. If so, how can we tell the year of production of Toledo?

 

I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Rick's posting made me happy. I have the three right-most ones (1987 Pelikan M700, 1991 Pelikan M900, 2003 Pelikan M111T) so I am 3/5th there. Of course, as with software projects I am familiar with, that last 2/5th may take the rest of my life to complete -)

 

Very nice collection indeed.

A people can be great withouth a great pen but a people who love great pens is surely a great people too...

Hi Rick! my name is susie and i was reading all about your beautiful pelikan collection. congrats BTW. I acquired a green silver pelikan toledo today. its a part of the estate i am working on. I was so excited to find it buried among the rubble. unfortunately, its not complete, which brings us to why i am contacting you. the lid is missing and there is no ink in it. i am new to this so dont laugh if i have this wrong, but it is a piston fill so it is supposed to be empty w/out ink in it right? or wrong? my other very important question is, is what is the value of this brand new condition toledo pen with just the barrel and the original nib? could you please advice on that for me. thanx a million-susie

M900 has a gold overlay, and gold trims. The M910 has silver overlay and silver (or platinum) trims.

I have serval Pelikan pen, including a M700, M710, M910 and Ananias Edition, Myth of the Goddess of moon. Can anyone tell me that Myth of the Goddess of Moon is a Toledo or not?

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
