The Travelling Composition Book

The Royal Pen

Recommended Posts

We've got lots of new people! I'm really sorry about the delay. I thought the book would fit through my standard post-box sending hole, but it's just a slight on millionth of a centimetre TOO BIG! My post office is only open until 12pm, which is ridiculous, so I am trying this week.

I would love to take part, as well! So I'll PM you with my street address. Thanks for this wonderful idea!!! P.S. I suppose with so many people signed up that this will take forever to make its way around the globe??

Could you fill us all in on the basic game plan? E.g., how do I receive the address of the next lucky duck ;) so I can send it on? What's the max time we can keep notebook before we must send it on? How much real estate do we use at most?

Thanks.

Liz

No! I haven't abandoned the project. My internet has been a bit fussy lately, we're having stron winds from the sea.

Anyhow, I've posted it today! It's on the way!

Yey!!!!!

It would be a good idea to PM the person who you sent it to, so he/she will expect it!

Then, as one person mails it to the other he/she should PM that person for the same reason....

Getting anxious to play! :puddle:

Does anyone know how this works? Do we know when we're going to get the book? Or do we just enjoy the surprise? And how will we know who to send it to next? Any ground rules for how quickly we should send it on or how long we can keep it?

Thanks!

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I am not computer friendly My computer is not human-friendly.

I'm deathly afraid that it's caught in the Royal Posts Christmas Mail :gaah:

Am I too late for the fun? If not, I am very interested in participating. I can ship to anywhere the Postal Service will deliver.

Hey everyone! If anyone else wants to jump in, I'll be taking people down until the book is full! I doubt it has reached it's first destination-Germany-but it's in the post!

Hello. I talked to someone and they said that the mail department at my school has lost things before. Is it possible to get my address removed from the list? I'd hate for the composition book to be lost in the process.

Dan

Okay, if you wish! But, if you decide to change your mind just let me know! :)

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
