This is some of the best entertainment ever created for fountain pen addicts. I really like the new transparent smokey grey prototype. I don't know about you guys but Speedy sure has made fountain pens more fun for me, and just look at Lloyd he's absolutely enraptured with this new pen.

I don't know if it's been mentioned earlier in this thread but whoever is taking the photos is doing a fantastic job.

I think it may be Speedy himself, he's an excellent photographer. He makes his pens look like candy doesn't he?

If you are as perfectionistic about your pens' performances as you are about your photography, those pens are going to write astoundingly. I can't wait to try one.

I do believe Speedy is. He's come all the way here to the FPN to get our input and reactions during the design and prototyping process of a large scale production pen. I can think of only one other pen maker with this level of customer interaction and service and he does the same thing but a one on one basis, Brian Gray of Edison Pen Company. I think the FPN, Brian Gray and Speedy are the three best entertainments in fountain pens today.

Well, on important matters, I have to make the result as perfect as I can; this is at leaset an reponsible attitude to my customer.

But on minor things in daily life, I can not ask for perfection on everything, otherwise life will be to tough to get through.

Your logo on the top of the pen is interesting. Is it meant to represent something?

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
