Diamond piston pen is getting closer to the completion. Are we really going to have the special FPN edition of this pen? if yes, then we need to discuss it. please visit ... to give your comment.

Speedy,

Sorry, I can't read the linked page but none the less, I want one maybe 3. I don't have a preference for actual design but laser engraving sounds good to me.

Can't wait,

Larry

From what I understand, FPN is not going to sponsor or endorse a FPN edition pen but you could release a FPN special edition pen if you want to.

Check out my ink reviews.

Currently inked:

Sorry, I'm late coming to this party. This looks like it's going to be fantastic. Where do I get in line for one of these?

cheers

Anyone else here think that Speedy designed his pen to match his computer? I have the same computer. I can't wait to try one of his pens. With Skyppere now interested in one I do believe that the Diamond 530 is on its way to becoming the Almost Official Fountain Pen of the Northern New Mexico Chapter of the Fountain Pen Network's Collectors Collective. If we load our pens with green ink maybe we'll call our pens the Chilé Verde, and if we load them with red ink we'll probably call them the Chilé Rojo. There's even a chance that we'll petition the Governor to adopt the Diamond 530 as our official state pen. Hey, you never know, if our state can have an official cookie, the biscochito, and a motto, "Carpé Manana," then we could have a state pen.

I don't mean to have FPN sponsor or endorse the pen, after all I am the one responsible for the final quality of the product, just that some people mentioned this option maybe the a good as a memory... So I have to double check if we really want to do this.

Understand that I can by my own wish to release a FPN special edition. But due to my poor English, I would appreciate someone can give me a suggestion what to write.

I wish I have this capability, everyone is trying to catch up the apple trend.

Anyhow, I always admire apple's courage on innovation, and value adding design.

The Aluminium piston looks great!

For engraving, I wouldn't have anything other than either FPN or in full "Fountain Pen Network". Maybe add "Special Edition" or "Limited Edition" (if it is actually limited in number).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
