  1. Hi, I was wondering which place would offer the cheapest rates (with combined S&H included) for the said inks in the new (square) bottles? Currently found one place that sells Souboku (Writing Desk in UK) but even that was a preorder thingy... Of course there is always the option of ordering directly from Japan, any recommendations on that too? Found a few places on ebay but that was about it... Destination for said inks would be Finland.     Different Shades Of Sailor Seiboku

    ( I'm not sure in which forum subsection this post rightly belongs, when it is: • not a review of Sailor seiboku pigment ink; and • not comparing seiboku against any other ink. ) After @crahptacular clued me in (thanks!) that the relatively wide range of colours that I elicited from Sailor souboku is related to the idea of 'dryness' of nibs and inks, and it occurred to me that it is not unlike the phenomenon of shading but elicited using multiple nibs over different lines of writing, I set out to identify the 'standard' ink review equipment I would use to show the variation in appearance of
  3. I got a sample of Sailor Sei-Boku from the Writing Desk. I love how it looks on reviews, so I figured it would be nice to try it. So I filled my Esterbrook J (9550 nib) with it. It did not write, so I thought maybe I forgot to clean that pen. So I pulled out my other Esterbrook J (9461 nib) and filled that. It wrote nicely. But next day when I tried to write with it, I noticed that the nib unit is clogged. It did not write at all. So I emptied the pen and cleaned it thoroughly. Now the pen works, but I'm not sure what to do about Sei-Boku. I have not dared to try it with other pens. What do
