My hammered titanium ring, one year on

The colour reference I was going to use, in my quest for a new personal ‘signature’ ink colour (that was ultimately unsuccessful), looks very different one year on. Only the barest hint of violet sheen remains, and the base colour has greatly lightened in the meantime.

I guess the shine wore off, and the honeymoon period is over? Or perhaps it's just par for the course for the year 2020? 😬
