Hi all,

I am really excited to share pictures of the pilot pen I received in mail this morning!

I had reached to multiple vendors across Europe and finally found one piece at Stilograph Corsani.

Hope you enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts!

Cheers,

Sidd

What a beauty! I was disappointed like many that there were no lower-priced special editions, and I'm not normally a fan of maki-e. But with the blue water and ship motif this is so ineffably Pilot that I covet it 😅 thank you for sharing!

Congratulations. It is indeed a beautiful pen. Mine should arrive next week. Possibly the last one available for Europe.

Congrats! I agree, it seems that there are limited numbers remaining in Europe.

Beautiful, wonder when they will be available in the US?

I think its available for purchase online already. It is sold out at many stores too, I did look at US stores to potentially import it to London.

Yeah I really wish there was a lower-priced edition as well. I'm not yet comfortable to use this one for daily use but I am trying!

Want !! - and much Kudos for inking it up and using it :) (though I'm sure most here would do the same).

Thanks! I was not sure about inking it up, but then it was the only way to really enjoy the purchase :)

P.S - I'll look up the Fountain Pen Club and try to join you all next month!

Congratulations! What a beautiful pen! I will be able to have one this week in Japan. Why can you have the pen so early?

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
