    Sailor new release

Are there any rumors on what sailor will produce next on their fp lineup, specially after the introduction of the 400 limited edition naginata KOP ? Are there any rumors for more specialty nibs on the KOP model ? Or anything unique for their anniversary maybe ? Since sailor has been really active these days!

When did sailor start their anniversary pens ? How often did they produce one ? Did they all have specialty nibs ? Pictures and references are always a plus !
  4. The press release was announced: see here Seems to be 7 unique colored inks and pens for the 7 gods of fortune and a Emperor Mt. 5. Hello again! This is my review of the 90th Anniversary Edition limited release of the Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 with a medium nib. I this was the third pen I purchased as part of my birthday splurge, and is also the third Montblanc that I own (second 149). Conventionally, I would never dream of buying a 149 in-store, as Montblanc decrees that no lower price than their dictated one be displayed on their new products. However, I was wandering around my local shopping centre, and saw a 149 with a sale tag on it in the window of Ernest Jones. Due to the lack of a box and it being a display piece,
  6. Hi all, I am really excited to share pictures of the pilot pen I received in mail this morning! I had reached to multiple vendors across Europe and finally found one piece at Stilograph Corsani. Hope you enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts! Cheers, Sidd
  7. So, I recommend you watch Goldspot new video where they talk with Pilot representatives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bUy_DC1Afo So far what's confirmed from the video is the new Pilot Explorer which according to the video will be released on November this year at the price of around $30. I'm actually quite underwhelmed when it is confirmed that it is a plastic barrel. There are also 2 new VPs coming (the other one mentioned near the end of the video) Another hype point is the announcement on mid-September (13th September) regarding the 100th Anniversary releases. I expect no les
  8. Greetings everybody! I am a new member here in FPN and I am actually quite nervous to be here (this is actually my first post so NICE TO MEET YOU ALL) So let me get straight to the point: As the title said, apparently I heard that Kuretake is having their 110th Year Anniversary soon (?) and will likely released some limited models, which I would love to have The problem is, I have no more information but that I stated above since their web page have no notice whatsoever and I am left with only this handout (https://imgur.com/a/HBT8CDT) So if anyone have any ideas about this, I would love

    Diamine 150Th Anniversary Inks - Part 2

As you will have already seen, Diamine have brought out another eight new inks for their 150th Anniversary range. Great colours and I'm just posting a quick note showing them. They should be available in about three weeks. Just simple notes and my usual method - Rhodia 80gsm dot paper and Lamy Vista M nib. My favourites are Tudor Blue, Purple Dream, Dark Forest, Lilac Night and Espresso, BUT Burgundy Royale and Blood Orange could have their uses! Enjoy.
  10. Hello there, here is my first review for a wonderful ink. 12. Hi, I'm William and I'm in Brisbane Australia. I found this group while googling for a solution to problems with my 75th Anniversary Aurora fountain pen. Glad to have joined and I hope someone can help. I bought my Aurora 75th anniversary fountain pen decades ago. It's been unused for a long time. Here is the problem. 1) When I cap the pen, the tip of the nib hits the inside of the cap and pushes the nib out of alignment. 2) I can see this because the nib is rotated slightly on the feeder, and there are marks on the plastic inside the cap. 3) I have tested this by re-aligning t
  13. It just occurred to me that Pentel counts 70 years in business this year. Is anyone aware of any plans for any special edition anniversary products, reintroduction of older models or anything like that? I did a quick web search and wasn´t able to find any relevant information, so I thought I should ask FPN fellows for some help, especially those who are not restricted by the language barrier. Thanks in advance!

    Scala Glacier Anniversary Edition

Happened to be yesterday in Heidelberg and had a close encounter with the LAMY Flagshipstore there. I found another Anniversary Edition that I have not seen mentioned here. It is a Glacier Blue Scala in an Anniversary box with a bottle of ink and converter, 14K nib and Anniversary engraving on the capband. According the lady in the store this one is only available in the Flagship store. They had a Anniversary boxed set of a notebook and BP as well.

    New Diamine 150Th Anniversary Inks!

Anniversary Collection – on release from 17th November 2014. To celebrate 150 years of the Diamine brand they have created the “Anniversary Collection”. The new triangular design ink bottles contain 40ml and will be available in eight stunning colours: these bottles when collected can be arranged into a beautiful round desk display. I haven't been given any notification of price point yet but unlike the previous two Diamine collections, all these new inks will be available separately from the start. AND there are possible rumours of additional colours in the future! As usual, my scans are of

    Montblanc 2016

Next year, 2016, Montblanc celebrates its 110th anniversary. It will release the memorial writing Instruments and other items. If you get Information about the products, let's write in this thread!!
  17. I have been fortunate enough to receive a bottle of J Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor to review. It's my understanding that it's due to be released in August. So I'm going to write with it over several days and post my experiences on this thread. I have filled my Pilot Custom 74 M nib with it so far, so this is the pen I'm using today. However, I can easily change that M nib to a F one from my CH92, so I plan to do that as a comparison. Then I will use a different pen and nib type. First things first, this ink oozes quality. It feels beautifully smooth and lubricated from the pen. It is very
  18. So here is my story of what I did with both my 146 and 149 75th anniversary fountain pens both with rose gold trim and MOP and limited to 1924 pieces. When I first bought them, they arrived with Med nibs and I used them for only short time before I opted for an EF nib size exchange. The service was excellent and both pens arrived back in less than 8 weeks. I started to use both of them and just could not get used to the way the tiny nib end would drag on the writing surface. I was completely bummed because I new at that point that I had made a terrible mistake in sending for an exchange.
  19. I have been left two boxed, unused, Mont Blanc 163, Pinstripe 75thAnniversary pens, with gold inlays, mother of pearl symbol, and inset diamond. One is a rollerball, one a fountain pen. They are unused, with celebration boxes and Mont Blanc booklet. Rollerball is number 0261 and the fountain pen number 1465 Without me trying to find an impartial valuer, does anyone have an idea of values? Many thanks Ian
  20. Hi! I'm about to put on sale Pelikan's 75th Anniversary LE in a mint condition (never used, all boxes etc) with a good discount and kind of can't decide on price. It was sold at Bonham's for $6875 (http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21816/lot/1304/) in December'14, whereas at Penporium it is listed for $18500 (http://www.penporium.com/product-p/574.htm). So, in my opinion $7K is pretty low, but at the same time $18,5K is quite a number. If I am not mistaken, the MSRP was around 7500 Euro initially, but after submitting the pen to the market, Pelikan managers stated that the initial MSRP sugge
  21. Finally, I got round to the soak tests of these wonderful new inks and the results were rather surprising, to say the least. For dye-based inks, there are one or two that really have great qualities. As you can see below. Before: After: I have to say that the paper I use for these soaks is pretty dire and shouldn't be considered indicative of any lasting permanence etc. But; a half-hour soak in cold water, as usual, followed by a vigorous tap rinse, isn't a bad indication of what could happen and as most of us are probably only prone to the odd spill now and again: well... Great in

    Omas Michelangelo Anniversary Le

Here are some photos of the new Omas Michelangelo, with Omas Press Release info and photos! The LE is made of the same marble as the David sculpture - Carrara marble from Tuscany, Italy. It's a pretty sophisticated piece so I assume it's gonna be pricey! 24. J HERBIN’s ROUGE HEMATITE LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE Does an ink having more saturation than usual can have good flow properties in a pen? Can an ink having good flow properties in a pen can show no feathering/ bleeding tendencies on paper? Both anwers can be “ Yes” if you are using J Herbin’s Rouge Hematite . J Herbin’s 1670 Rouge Hematite, Anniversary Edition. So what’s about it? CLAIMS This is what J Herbin claims – “ To celebrate the 340th Anniversary of the brand, we are introducing the “ 1670” ink especially formulated for this event. With a dark red color and earthy tone,it is
  25. Saw these lovely white notepads mentioned in a recent Goulet e-newsletter. I've been waiting patiently for them to surface in any online UK retailers but I have not come across them yet. Anyone know if these will be available in the UK or EU? I've been googling but to no avail... ps: So sorry my first ever post in this forum is turning out to be a selfish request for information. Will introduce myself properly in the appropriate forum very soon!
