What's the difference? 100N vs 100?

I've seen the pen referred to as 100N and 100, is there a difference? I am sure there is but I couldn't find a webpage dedicated to the pen. Any info is appreciated.

cheers

Check out this Portuguese site dedicated to Pelikans. Quite a few 100Ns and a rare blue Pelikan 100. Take particular look at the text for the Pelikan 100N Magnum where the site owner (who is a member here) differentiates the Magnum from 100N.

In addition to Werner's site, already mentioned, you might check out the Propas short history on the Pelikan.

Yeah, that is pretty awesome, too. I just spent the last 5 minutes trying to pick my jaw up off of the floor after I saw this image from the site trencherman listed:

That can't be real, right? Somebody Photoshopped that, they must've.... Aw to Hell with it, I don't care if it is fake! :puddle:

edit: image didn't upload (too big, most likely), so direct image link provided.

Well.....

I only saw this post now and thank you for quoting my blog.

There is no trick about the picture in question.

I know it's not common to see that.

Here you have another one.

Sorry for the bad picture, no time to set the studio....

And a old one with a pen

Ha! Great shot, Victor!

Initially, I thought the shot with the pen (same one from your blog, right?) was one pen lying on top of several dozen other pens standing upright in some kind of huge holder. Even knowing that they're just end caps, I'm still very impressed.

I agree, great shot. I notice there are just 3 or four that do not have the white logo: are they end caps while the white logoed are top caps? How comes they are in that small number?

I can imagine that to have them aligned for the second photo was a difficult task wasn't?

Cheers,

Thanks for sharing Victor. I agree, great photograph, particularly the last one. But how did you acquire them?

Hello Diplomat

Was dificult at first, but 4 wood rules were used after to make a kind of box.

The non painted ones are like they came, with no paint in the logo.

Thanks for the kind words.

Greetings to Italy!!!

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
