Some nice German nibs

I have not been able to get the hang of oblique nibs, though I have tried. Your writing samples with the oblique nibs look good. However, I have a couple pens with the kind of "flattened" B nib you have described, and I agree they are wonderful. I have sent a couple of B nib pens to nib meisters for customizing, but they have not been able to replicate that wonderful flattened nib. - I had even sent along an example of the vintage pen with the nib I liked for them to examine, but it apparently did no good.

 

One of the things I look for at pen shows, when I can actually attend one, is the kind of B nib with that flatened feel. I did find one pen once that worked for me. A few years ago, the "Porsche Design" pens bore much more of a resemblance to the Monblanc "Noblesse" model. I got an old "PD" pen with a titanium cap/body and a wonderful flattened B nib. So those nibs are a worthwhile quest.
