Bienfang Calligraphy Parchment

I've used this paper for a while, cut into half sheets for A2 envelopes, but had to stop for several months because I couldn't find it anywhere in DC.

The white is perfect for me, not too bright (Rhodia and its associates hurt my eyes), but not really cream either. One side is slightly textured and with an XF you can feel it as you write, but it's not an unpleasant sensation. The other side is smoother and I don't notice any texture as my pen goes along. All in all it's just an easy paper to get along with, and at $8-10 for 50 sheets it doesn't seem too expensive.

This review isn't very good, but I prefer the paper to most and thought I'd mention it. Other brands make similar paper but I haven't tried those.

Tiny image but there's no need for a larger one.

A2? That's one serious envelope!

Well, since it makes perfect sense, there is a whole different sizing system for envelopes. Concerning North American sizes, A2 fits a half sheet of letter-size paper well, requiring two folds though it doesn't need to be in thirds. If I were using A2 paper sized envelopes I'd be spending a lot more on postage.

This, from a country that still measures paper in pounds?!? Gives me a headache trying to work out what grade of paper you guys talk about on this board ...

Cheers,

Effrafax.

At least we also gave you the colloquialisms with which to express your frustration ;) . How about this: although it's larger than needed, I'd probably use a #6 3/4 envelope (yet another American system), since I have those on hand.
