. . . would anyone know what to refill this pen with, relative to cartridges or converter?

If you can settle for blue or black you can order Waterman Mini Cartridges from several sources on the web. They do make a wide array of colors but for some reason these are hard to find in the United States.

I recently contacted the Parker / Waterman Service center about the converter and the different color cartridges and here is their response (4 Jan 2008):

"Unfortunately, we no longer have converters for the Lady Agatha. Mini Lady Cartridges are still available in the following colors: black, blue, red, purple, green, and south sea blue. You may purchase the cartridges through our service center by contacting us at 800-237-8736 and providing us with credit card information."

I did have some universal mini’s I bought some time ago from Levenger. They do not fit in the barrel, so you are limited to the Waterman Minis, unless someone else knows of a mini cartridge with a smaller diameter.

For years I used purple ink in my Lady Agathe. I now use blue.

I am sorry that I have only a vague memory of how large a Lady Agatha is. There are some new mini converters available that are just the size of an internatinal cartridge called the "Bantam." I know they are available from Tryphon Enterprises (no affiliation, etc.). Otherwise, your option might be to get a couple packages of Lady Agatha cartridges and plan to refill them with your favorite inks.

The Waterman "mini" cartridges fit nicely into those pens. And there is no need for you to be stuck with just blue or black ink. There is a person whose first name is Charles that has developed and sells on the internet the "Write Fill" system. Basically this is a system designed to refill the empty ink cartridges without mess or fuss. One can use any type or color of bottled ink desired. It works really well and is rather inexpensive at about $7.50 (I think.)

So I suggest that you do a search for "Write Fill" and that'll lead you to the web site.

Peace,

I believe Pelikan still makes short cartridges, and they should fit. Contact these sellers and find out:

A little belated, but thought I would respond: Pendemonium carries a mini converter by Monteverde that I am quite sure will fit the Waterman Lady Agathe pen. You could ask them first to be sure. In any case, it is only 2.50 plus S/H. Good luck

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
