Ask him. ;)

Oh, he's flat out said in the past that he doesn't understand Apple products.  At ALL....

Come on! All you have to do is to launch youtube on your laptop, TV whatever. Sign in. Find the movie and rent it. If not you can do it with AppleTV, Prime.

You can also check Kanopy, which is a platform that works with North American libraries. All you need is your library card and you sign in. They have a lot of intelligent, good film, documentaries, etc.

Yeah, well, that would involve signing in.

I'm somewhat circumspect about what websites I go to.  And I don't HAVE Prime or Apple TV; we pay enough for TV/internet/house phone line as it is WITHOUT coughing up more for any streaming services -- and that was BEFORE the FUBAR spat between our carrier and the company which owns the local NBC station; which, (gasp), seems to have been resolved JUST in time for the Winter Olympics and the Superbowl....

As for renting the video from a library, that would, unfortunately, presume that we have a working DVD player that's actually hooked up to the TV.... :headsmack:  Although I may see if someplace in the system does have it.

Well, whaddya know -- there are 15 libraries in the system (including the one in my town) which has the DVD.  Hmmm.  Wonder if it work on the CD player I have for my laptop, of if it just works with CDs....

Well, I have too much stuff to watch at the moment anyway (now that I can get NBC again -- at least for the time being -- I'm going to be binge-watching a bunch of shows on demand for the next few weeks...).
