Oh that one is even more fun than the previous drawing!  And making me think back to seeing Michaelangelo's David on a trip to Italy with my parents in the 1970s....

Inktober Prompt 12: Covered

Miniature.

When Cat joins Mouse for their first communal shower, it makes sure everything is covered: umbrella and wellingtons.

Of course, I'm surprised that Cat isn't completely covered (raincoat with hood, umbrella, etc.) -- because, of course, water....

I remember how upset the cat that adopted my parents was about being sent home to his ACTUAL owners, who lived diagonally behind us) in the rain (and, in the wintertime, in the snow)....

Well, it wanted to partially participate in the experience. ;)

Oh the poor thing. Once our other cat was caught in a thunderstorm. She was soaked and miserable, but enjoyed all the attention when we dried her off with a towel.

There are some cat breeds that like the water or even go on boat or surf board with their owners. 😊

Yes, I'd heard that some cat breeds like the water, but none of ours (or the one that adopted my parents) really did (although the Maine Coon rescue did like to stick his paw in the water bowl at times...).  Of course, since he was not only a rescue but I think perhaps had been a "show" cat, he drove the other cats crazy because he never really understood stuff like when they (especially the calico and the torties) would growl and hiss at him -- mostly when they did that he'd just look at them with a sort of confused expression as if he was going "What?"  And of course with the cat that liked to play "obnoxious little brother" -- who would stalk the two girl cats, and when they'd stop, he'd stop and then eventually run up and poke at them?  Byron (the Maine Coon) was more like, "Oh -- this is a GOOD game!  Now I get to follow YOU, right?"  Only because he was so much bigger and with much longer legs?  He'd go galumphing along faster than the other boy cat, and then sometimes actually LAND on him -- and the other cat would have this expression on his face of, "No, this is NOT how this game is supposed to work!"

@inkstainedruth funny story. :D

Another take:
I'm having a lot of fun with this Jinchen Purple Forest. The ink is so beautiful.

Covered
Cat & Mouse take their first shower together. Cat wears its wellingtons and grabs an umbrella. I wonder if, 20 years later, Cat will get used to water and take a shower instead of grooming itself, while Mouse adapts to Cat’s grooming.

@catbert This one is HILARIOUS!  Love it!  (I needed a good laugh after the fairly insane day I've had.... )

Oh, I can't wait to see the result(s) for this one!  My mind is going in two different directions as to how the art will turn out -- because I don't know which one (if EITHER) is more likely....

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
