Father and Son reunion: the Alexandre Dumas.

In my quest for Montblanc fountain pens with a 9 nib, father and son Dumas cannot be missed. The son with a medium nib has been part of my collection for several years. On Sunday I was able to get the father at an auction, he has a B nib. 

Father is in front, left nib.

Dumas has one of the best engravings of any nib. Simply superb.

Congratulations for the reunion, I like this fountain pen because it has some reminiscent of MB 139 (and the Hemingway). It seems that they have not been inked, have they?

Thanks. They are inked, Pilot black. Yeah, 139 most beautiful pen ever made by Montblanc.

Dumas is a fantastic pen, from an era when the writers’ series of pens were of a much higher quality of design and execution than they have been since about Shakespeare / De Exupery.

Yesterday a Dumas father Fountainpen in perfect conditionwas sold on Catawiki for 920 euro’s all included.

Congrats on your pens! I was able to get the 3 PC set for father and son on eBay brand new never used in sealed box. I think the price that I paid was very good for what these are being sold but certainly a hit to the wallet.
