@yazeh Thanks so much for show-casing the inks from the "Couleurs de Paris" series of inks.

A pleasure !

I was very curious about this set, and hesitating whether I should buy them. So these reviews are very valuable to me. I love the quick preview you give in the intro mosaic ... great way to show off the colours in this collection.

II was curious too. I'm glad my mosaic was helpful :)

First impression: Les Toits de Paris is a must-buy, and Tour Eiffel looks great too. Next up is to read your reviews of these 😉

I knew form the get go, Les toits would be your ink ;)

This one looks like a nice Royal Blue, but even though your enthousiasm about its properties is clear, I think I will let this one pass. I already have enough royal blues to last a lifetime, and tend to use them only very occasionally.

I was too surprised by the quality of this ink. I never though I would be tempted by a Royal blue ;) I like them mostly for drawing. So anyone would do 😛

...random aside - I still have some 30 rolls of unused, long-expired Kodachrome 64 film (35mm). They have been frozen since 2009. No idea why I have held on to them for this long, but I guess I'm hoping for a miracle. I too have never developed colour film but I still d&p my B&W to this day. As a passion, of course.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

      >Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color,<   I'm sure they were, and my answer assumes that. It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film.
