Majohn Q2- A Wancai and Q1 lovechild

Majohn starts closing out 23 by franken-penning a Wancai mini with a Q1. The result of which is the Q2.

 

First impressions is the ever displeasure with the gold trim but I like the pens. In between the release of the A3 and the N102 where you have this for year end releases. The A3 is the bread and butter, the N102 follows the V1 in what the **** were they thinking territory, and this will get the job done but not divide the masses. I feel it fits into the "sits in your cart" for an undisclosed number of weeks territory until you break down and buy 4 because why not, it's a $6.89 pen. AliExpress will undoubtedly double that for those non Taobao shoppers but that's for those who do not want the headache of having to pay for their own freight shipping. Eyedropper or use the 2.6mm cartridges which can be found all over AliExpress. Majohn is releasing the bigger containers of 25/50/100 now or the always convenient carrying packs.

 

This would be a no risk way to end 23 for Majohn but it has been a good year so happy hunting to all until the next one.

Thank you for the reporting. Nice shape, reminds me of the Pilot Petit1 and none of the chunk of Q1. Also like the fact that there is a cartridge option for bite size ink changes.

The photos do not show how ridiculously small this pen is. Posted, it is hard to use; unposted, it is impossible to use.

Does it post firmly? If not, it would be unusable for me too, but if it posts securely it should be okay for me. I ordered the greyish transparent one, three weeks until I see it. 
 

Apparently there’s a new version (or just new colors?) of the Wancai mini out also. I bought one, I guess I’m on a mini buying streak! Photo below

Got my Q2 in yesterday's mail. It's the same size - posted or unposted - as my antique BCHR vest pocket pen, which I really enjoy for a variety of reasons. I have not had a chance yet to ink it up and write with it, but I think I will like it. I would probably like it better without the clip, so I will probably end up ordering at least one wancai mini.

It does post firmly but, even so, it is too small!

I got mine today and I wasn’t prepared for how small it truly is! Posted, I can use it—barely. But I got the grey transparent and the effort required to securely post it seems likely to leave marks on the barrel. That’s assuming it gets much use. The wancai mini arrived also today (it rained pens after days of rain) and it’s fatter and longer and screwing on the barrel end is a very secure way to post. Same nib.
