Converter for the Elizabeth Taylor limited edition?

Hi,

 

I have a friend in the US who was gifted an Elizabeth Taylor special edition. On my advice, she bought some Schmidt K5 cartridge converters from Amazon. But she says they don't fit. They are too wide to connect to the feed.

 

Any suggestion on a converter that would fit? I am quite surprised. I appreciate recommendations if you have that pen (or another slim MB like hers maybe). She will follow this thread.

Had she tried a standard international cartridge?

Not yet. She ordered some Mont Blanc ones. She tried some from a Sheaffer pen, but since they don't all use standard cartridges that doesn't tell me anything.
