Another item from Seller Amazon Japan on Amazon.com.  Free shipping to the United States.

 

Realos are the Sailor piston fillers with the larger, 21K nibs.  If I had to limit myself to one pen, it would be a Realo.  The gorgeous nib without the crappy Sailor converter, but a nice sized low mainenance piston filler instead.  And this is an outrageously good price!

Your link appears to be to a Profit (formerly known as a 1911), not a Pro Gear. Pro Gears have flat tops, this is a cigar-shaped pen. The rest of your post I agree with, I also prefer these piston filler versions to the cartridge/converter versions. The Profit Realo is the same length as the Profit L, and this does look like a very good price. I would be tempted if I didn't already have one.

Wow, that is a fantastic deal! I don’t love that it’s in black, I would prefer almost any other color, but for that price beggars can’t be choosers. Ordered one!

They are great pens.  I got mine all the way back in 2005 and paid considerably more for it.

Rats.  I missed my opportunity.  It's now $180 to $230 USD now.  Too late!  But thanks for making this announcement!  I would've taken the plunge at $140 just to try it out!

You  may see it low again.   This seller drops prices often.

Same pen with a fine nib, same Seller, $163 free shipping.  If you were willing to try it for $139...this is only $24 more.  So long as you like Japanese fine nibs.  This is an awesome pen!

Thanks for finding this!  I'll mull it over.  I normally use a Montblanc F and EF, but a Japanese F might be too fine sometimes.

Japanese nibs F is normally like a European EF and the Japanese EF is like EEF.

That is the broad nib, at $169.  The above citation for the fine is still $163.

 

And you can't blame/thank me for the call out on the Pelikan 1000s.  That was James3Paris.

I got mine in a week or two ago and it came in all the original packaging, straight from Japan. Fantastic pen.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
