another Cross Century II acquired

CSSD

Recommended Posts

I recently bought this new-in-box Cross Century II 175th Anniversary fountain pen.  Quite stunning, the pictures don't do it justice.

I filled the provided converter with Blue Quink, got the pen writing, opened up my Clairefontaine notebook, and began writing.  The "feel" is smooth, very smooth.  No skips, no blots, just very very smooth, Quite Impressive for right out of the box.  As with other Century II FP's, the feel in the hand is excellent.  Medium nib, ink flow is "just right."

Wow that pen is beautiful.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I cheated.  I had an 18k century II nib in inventory.  I swapped out its steel nib it came with for the 18k nib.  Now it is suitably classy.
