Nice!   I have an interesting one...it's a Deluxe SM set up as a store/bank pen.   The cap is permanently posted, and chained to the base.  I'll get a photo.

Warms the cockles of my heart. What you need now is a flying saucer. They come in various styles.

The slope is so steep. I need to get an eight ball base for the lonely desk set pen I got with a base that didn’t match the pen.

Talk about slippery slope? Here is where I stand with the 8 ball

8 versions in black. 9th on its way. 4 versions double black. 5 single colored.

You should consider the fact that shipping to Israel is abominable.

And I am just on the beginning of the slide.

And it’s just the 8 ball!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
