My latest addition arrived today, a MontBlanc 310s in blue with a steel fine nib and steel clip, I think. I haven’t seen very many in blue. The ink it came with is grey.

That Churchill is a stunner, @Nyoko, @Doug C. I can see why you’d want one- the color shift is so cool!

The Blue O’ Blue is also absolutely amazing. There is one for sale locally and I keep mentally picking it up and putting it back down.

@Nyoko I was able to find a used French Blue Safari on eBay a few years ago (and for not a horrible price, either ), but the cap is lost somewhere in my house.  And I wasn't going to pay the nosebleed prices I was seeing for a replacement cap.  So I bought a red cap and, well, someday the correct cap will probably turn up.

Of course I thought I'd lost this year's SE "Dark Dusk" at something I was at, after showing it to a guy who I know is a pen person.  Then it turned up under some paperwork in my living room -- AFTER I bought a replacement one (and a bunch of ink samples I didn't really need to get to the "free shipping" threshold for a SECOND time... :wallbash:)

Mine is actually blue but some areas are kind of purple or have a purple sheen. Is yours all purple? Love to see a photo of it!

Thank you! The other reason I got this one is the fantastic italic broad nib it has 🙂

Thank you! Hope you can get one! I got this one used - don't think I will be getting any brand new Pelikans now that the prices are so high.

I hope you can find a replacement cap for the French Blue! That's funny a story about your Dark Dusk - at least now you have a spare 🙂  I'm always misplacing things myself and thinking I lost them. Once my beloved Parker 75 accidentally fell into the trash from my shirt pocket. Fortunately, after much despairing searching, I put two and two together and went and looked for it in the trash bin - fortunately it was still there!

Italics are my favorite! I should really look into CS pens, modern and vintage….

Even the used one is $$$$ around here, especially since I think it’s a custom grind from a retired nibmeister. I have one rare Duofold in my sights, but if that falls through I may start to haggle.

Yikes!  I'd be completely freaking out if I lost either of my 75s (both of which are sterling silver in the Ciselé pattern) -- mind you, I paid WAY less for the one with the F nib because I found it, and the matching BP, and the box they were in (which contained a couple of spare converters and some paperwork and a nice little pen wrap -- which I didn't even realize was in the box until just recently) at an estate sale for an insanely good "Sumgai of the Week price....

Of course I *also* completely freaked out when I misplaced my first "good" pen -- a lowly Parker Vector -- then found it in a desk drawer up in my sewing room nearly a year later (while looking for something else -- which is how I found the first Dark Dusk Safari, which I honestly thought I'd lost at something last spring while showing it to a guy who I found out by accident is also a FP person) -- then it turned up when I was looking for something else (think I'd dropped the cap from some other pen).

Of course, when I was at the Ohio Pen Show recently, I bought this cute little plastic "crab" which has it's claws held up to be a pen rest.  Then, while on my home after the show ended met my husband at a friend's house because it was another friend's birthday and there was cake.  But on the way home from there, had to slam on the brakes because a deer ran into the road, and the basket I use to carry around at stuff like that (I was getting several pens repaired over the weekend) tipped over in the back seat onto the floor of the car.  And I thought I'd lost the little magnetized top hat it had been wearing (I bought that one because it was just too cute) -- I tried searching the bottom of the car in daylight to no avail the next day.  Then, amazingly, decided to dig through the basket yesterday and found the top hat -- which is now reattached by magnet to the top of the crab (basically half a globe shape).  And of course I had no idea who the vender even was -- just saw that and thought it was adorable.  The guy then came running after me to see if I wanted the OTHER two hats it apparently came with (a cowboy hat and I think a fedora).
