I got a blue pen delivered today. It is the Conklin Heritage Word Gauge with 1.1mm stub nib. It looks like blue sky and clouds to me. The ink is Levenger Blue Bahama.

It does!  Very pretty.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

@Misfit, that’s a beautiful pen! 1.1 stub, I’m guessing?

Why yes of course a 1.1mm stub nib. I do try with other sizes. I just love the 1.1mm stub and italic nibs.

I agree, they’re amazing and make every little thing you write look fancy.

Nice scores, @Bisquitlips! Is that one of the Levenger Sheaffer Balances?  The turquoise (Vista?) 61 is one of the pens that I really would love to have one day.

@Misfit, I saw the blue word gauge stub at half price on Amazon and added it to my order.

@Penguincollector I hope you like it. It’s a piston filler

Beautiful pen1 What would you say, Misfit ,would be the percentage of piston fillers in your collection?

Maybe I should star another thread here, let me know what you all think, late here, tired.

Well, the six Pelikan pens are piston fillers, plus three Visconti pens, and the one Delta pen I own. I’d say I have eleven. That would be not very many of my pens. Most are converter pens.

Thank you, I hope I do as well.  It’s funny how I still have the Explorer saved for later on my cart, but bought this one right away. Sometimes pens speak to you.

@Penguincollector How could I forget the TWSBI pens? I sure did. Just shows those questions should be answered after a night’s sleep.

I had to tell myself the Conklin Heritage Word Gauge pen would not look like the Amazon photo, so I wouldn’t be disappointed if it looked like every other seller’s photos. I was pleasantly happy to see the “clouds” on mine.

Mine gets here today, so we’ll see if I get a cloudy or sunny one soon.

Here’s my new Conklin Word Gauge stub. It’s reminds me of the Caribbean Sea, but also a sky with little fluffy clouds.  @Misfit and I are pen twins. 👯 I just cleaned it with some dish soap and it will go in the rotation queue. I’m excited to see how this stub nib compares with my other ones. large.741243938.333181public.jpeg.9a775c07bded61d8dc764f1d1418a519.jpeg

@Penguincollector hi there Pen Twin. I’m so glad yours has the clouds. Maybe the photo I saw online was used several times, and is the outlier.

What ink will you put in yours?  I used Levenger Blue Bahama.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
