Pen Identification

Rebbe

Recommended Posts

Hello Pen Enthusiasts,

I have come into possession of a Sheaffer flat top pen without much branding on it, the clip and barrel are unmarked. It is a cartridge filler in a jade green color, and only the nib notes it is a Sheaffer. Any help in identifying the type and year of manufacture would be appreciated. Or, any information on when it was knocked off if it isn't a legitimate Sheaffer.

Nib appears to be gold or brass, but it has no karat stamp on it. Only:

"Sheaffer (tm)
M
MADE IN USA"

Thanking you in advance for any insight you can provide. Please let me know if I can add any additional photographs or information not featured here.

Cordially,

Rebbe

To be more specific, yours may be a "Vintage" model. That is the model name, not referring to its age.

Definitely looks like it! Thanks you two.

Now to see if I can't find this particular color variety, and track down a converter for it!

Try Peyton Street Pens, that’s where I get everything vintage Sheaffer- including hard to find converters. Teri should be able to tell you what pen you have and what it needs.

Also visit SheafferTarga.com to ID your pen, there’s a ton of reference lists with pictures there.

Most all Sheaffer converters and cartridges will work.

Update: Thanks to the help of @Penguincollector I have identified this pen as a Non-Nonsense in Vintage Green Marble with a 23ct gold plated nib.

Another mystery solved, gang.
