Baoer 3035 & Hero 3035

Probably, Baoer had a good look at the Montblanc Greta Garbo pen when they designed the 3035.

Never realized this pen had an "inspiration". For a while I really liked my Baoer 3035. Very cool pen, with a very satisfying closure of the cap. I think Mr Pen was selling Baoer's with his own nib tuning too. I never got one because of the price and the pen was too thin for my liking anyway.

Very cheap to buy for a while, I acquired four of them for under $5 (AUD) each.  They are a bit more expensive now, by the looks of it, but still well below the luxury bracket.  

The black version was a bit too cheaply made; a stainless steel pen just coated with a black lacquer that bubbled and peeled.  I suspect that defect may apply to all the coloured versions.  But the brushed steel and frosted 'gold' finishes ( see image) make for a very attractive pen, and the ink flow is good in all the pones I bought.  As good as even a medium range luxury brand. 

 

The only drawback I have experienced is getting 'gold' nibs in anything but EF and F (extra fine and fine), and the pronounced 'lip' between the section and the barrel, which can dig uncomfortably into my middle finger (because I hold the pen higher up than the section itself).

 

The pens in the image are in my daily rotation of about eight (a different one every day).
