Cleaning ink from Syringe needle base

Today I tried the ink cleaning kit by sailor, just to suck some one from a Lamy cartridge and pour it out in a small glass bottle. All went according to plan except that the plait base of the needle contained in the kit, which one attaches to the syringe, has reddish ink residue, very faint, but visible. 

Any advice about thorough washing away this ink?

But won’t it contaminate a different colour ink if employed?

I also ignore it if it is a mere dry stain. It's not enough to impact the color of another ink. Do you have liquid stuck there?

Um, do you mean faint red as shown in the following product photos?

If so, then it is not ink residue, and I don't think you're going to ‘wash’ away the pink colour of that plastic part.

To be quite honest, I can't remember if the needle plastic base was that pink colour. If no, no problem then.

Also, I flush a few times with dish soapy water and then I choose not to worry.

Ok, will flush my Sailor Black hole now to use a different colour ink: violet of Pelikan 4001

Done, used the sailor washing up kit. 10 minutes and the nib now ejects transparent clear water. Leaving it out to dry in open shade, well protected, both nib and converter. Yupiiii!!!
