Heritage baby

Hello my friends.

I know that there are two upcoming models for the Heritage family, the Heritage baby. One is in black and the other in ivory. There are pictures circulating in a Facebook group, and the launch of this new one will be in the next days or weeks.

Keep tuned.

Regards,

MF

Yes, the same pictures I saw in the Facebook group. I liked pretty much the model too. Let's see what's coming more.

Very interesting! Can't wait to see what the ivory model looks like. Seems to be similar in some ways to the 114 a/k/a Mozart in that it's a cartridge-only pocket pen (almost mini sized) that requires the cap to screw into the body. I wonder how it compares in length to a popular pocket-sized pen like a Kaweco, for instance.

Is the ivory also the heritage baby or a completely different model?

That is something that was not clear to me, but I believe yes (since this is the Heritage rouge et noir new collection, I suppose it would be two variations, like it was the R&N in coral and in black - and later in tropic brown). Let's wait for the launch of this collection. I'm sure it will be a must add pieces to any collection.

Does anyone know if this model is lacquered metal like the earlier Heritage models?

I'm also wondering if it has a clip 🤔

Yes, it has no clip. And according to the precious link (ivory white), the price converted from 6200 yuans to euro is 898. Too much in my opinion.

I won't buy this pen for myself, but I can't help but praise Montblanc's continued creativity in its pen lines and designs. The packaging is also very cool and innovative.

Thanks admmarcos for letting us know.

+1. I am very fond of the Heritage line. This is again definitely the 20s and 30s Montblanc safety pen design, so nice! It doesn't seem to have threads. I guess the usual smooth clutch system? It would be nice if they include an optional clip. Usually the vintage women's purse pens have no clip and men's of the same size have as vest pocket pens (not that anyone is wearing a vest in this heat😀). But just to make it right...

Como, thank you for this nugget of information regarding the “clip variance” between women’s and men’s 1920’s-1930’s (00 safeties as Uncial speculates?) small pens.  Fascinating.

I am looking forward to seeing this pen. I will be at an event at the local MB Boutique next week and I hope this new “pocket pen” is available to handle.

Really looking forward to this one, especially the ivory version. Do you know whether mini converters will fit?

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
