Daks Simpson/Sailor pens

I started this thread for gathering information and learning about the pens Sailor has produced for the London-based Daks Simpson luxury fashion house, now known as DAKS. Please provide any information, including photos, on pens Sailor made/makes for Daks in this thread.

Unfortunate! But I suppose understandable, since it’s not like I’ve bought much from the collection. I have one of the ballpoint pens. It’s slim and elegant, but I don’t use it much because, well, it’s a ballpoint pen. And the refill is nothing special.

I've read (but I can't find where now) that Sailor has had a long relationship with Daks. I am aware, to a very limited extent, of models Sailor has made for Daks that seem to be based on the Chalana but I knew of nothing else until I purchased the pen below a couple days ago, which arrived yesterday.

This pen is (presumably) brass-bodied and nicely lacquered. The 14k H-M nib identical to the nib on the older (years?) Profit/1911 Standard-size, except for branding. Unlike my Profit/1911 pens, both the section and barrel threads are metal. The length capped is very close to the length of a Profit/1911 Standard. Uncapped it is approximately 7mm longer than a Profit/1911 Standard. The clip is self-sprung. 

 

 

 

The section ring, nor any of the other metal rings, are not faceted - those are reflections.

 

The box has a plastic base and is covered with a material that has a suede-like texture, with foam padding under some of it. The booklet is a generic Sailor manual - not only does it cover use of fountain pens but also ballpoints, mechanical pencils, etc. - in Japanese and English with Sailor branding and contact info, except for the Daks Simpson branded cover.

It looks a little like Sailor's own 110 anniversary pen, I think. 

Edit: Also, thank you for bringing that eye-candy thread to my attention!
