Paul, thanks for the nice comment! Due to size restrictions on the board and volume of cards, I think I will need to rotate recent ones onto the board and retire previous ones to their storage box. /Craig

I just added another swapper to my list due to the PM malfunctions. :) Just sent out a bunch of cards with my return address on them in case PMs have been lost containing the information. If the address is obliterated by postage cancellation, and you need my address, send me an email via my profile instead of a PM. Hopefully I'll get the message that way.

2 more today in the mail, thanks PaulK (vintage card!) and Jazztonight! I'll get some out Monday but I'm gone all next week to a convention in Anaheim.

I received a very cool card today from jleeper. I like the pic :). I have to apologize, I didn't get the cards to PaulDavid and jakespeed out yesterday. They will go out in the mail on Monday, with my reply to jleeper.

I went crazy at Borders, they had a whole bunch of really great local postcards including a couple of books of true vintage Alaskan postcards with photographs of wildlife, mining camps, and trapping.

PM me if you're interested in an exchange :)

CraigR,

I agree--a very tastefully appointed room. The absence of clutter is remarkable!

Sending several cards out tomorrow. I'm continuing to use my own photos printed on Avery Matte postcard stock #8387. It's not perfect, but it does the job.

Thank you all for the beautiful cards and thoughtful messages.

Regards,

anyone got from me? Hari? Jazz? Inkypete? PMorin? Penhorse? Okami?

The voice of this guitar of mine, at the awakening of the morning, wants to sing its joy;

I sing to your volcanoes, to your meadows and flowers, that are like mementos of the greatest of my loves;

If I am to die away from you, may they say I am sleeping, and bring me back home.

Card received from penhorse87. Nice card Ken, thanks. Is the card one of your own? Looks good. What are the flowers? The seal came through the sorting equipment OK and gives a very professional feel to the whole thing.

While it is a homemade card, the image is not my own. My father was an avid photographer. He took that picture back in the mid 40's. I inherited his old slides and photos when he passed away. Have been scanning them in to try to retain them when the original media deteriorates. Glad you enjoyed.

That one's from me! (I may have left it out, but on most of them there's some small printing on the card that says my name and jazztonight).

Mystery solved!

I received cards from inkypete, waisun, PaulK and jazztonight (dated 3 August!, must have been misplaced with all the postal strikes we have over here).

Thank you!!!! Replies out soon.

      Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

      It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

      Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

      Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

      @asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
