Tul pen review

Recommended Posts

I have gone through many gel pens from cheap to expensive. Many of the highly rated ones will still skip on some papers. On a visit to Office Depot I found Tul pens. I purchased the needle point medium gel. It works better than every pen I have ever had. The ink always flows with no skips. What is your opinion?

My opinion is that it’s not a fountain pen and therefore (for me) not usable. I only use fountain pens.

And that's why this post is in It Writes But It Is Not A Fountain Pen. fpn_tongue.png.12b57f0ee12476c5345e4cb8642d7634.png

Add lightness and simplicate.

I love the TUL pens because they are BROAD!!!  However, I've had trouble with them breaking on me. Nevertheless, I do acquire them.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I’ve thought about getting some, but have not yet. I’ve gone down the customizable multi pen hole (Uni Style Fit, Pilot Coleto, Pentel i+ and Zebra Prefill and now Sarasa Select).

For awhile, I’d only buy fountain pens. I lost out on the Retro 51 Lift Off rollerball because of that.  At least I got the Retro 51 Space Race pens to make up for that.

I admit that my Sherpa and I have a lot of fun.

A Tül gel or rollerball pen, a grey/black unassuming number, found its way into the pen pot on my office desk and I enjoyed using it so much (more than a variety of pens I've had in mystery box subscriptions, for example) that when it was empty I purchased refills. My only complaint is that the rubbery grip has swelled up and is always moving up and down.  Maybe I should stop being a cheapskate and go buy a new one...  Definitely good value for money on those days when you reach for something other than a fountain pen.

I have used Tul gel pens, the refillable click pens (in case there are others), a fair amount, and have been pleased with the way they write. But for some reason I am rather hard on clips, and their clips don't hold up to very much abuse at all. So I don't buy them any more.

Thanks @amberleadavis there was no way I would not order that pen. There is another one with Love stamps.

I really love the guy carrying the pen.

It’s a great brick and mortar store. I wish it were located in KC.  I have to content myself with shopping online with them.
