As a backup pen I'm using a Vintage Onoto 5601 with 3/st nib and transparent barrel. Amazing nib although I have to find a replacement this has a crack by the heart shaped breather hole

Also a 51 Signet with a F nib and blue ink for me (Herbin Bleu Verrerie) -- which I'll now consider an act of solidarity with @inkstainedruth and a get-well-soon to her husband!

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Today  my blue shimmer and brown shimmer pens ran dry, so I filled two 1.1 stub  TWSBI Ecos with shimmer inks. In my Cerulean Eco, there is Esterbrook Shimmer Aqua, and the Indigo one is filled with DeAtramentis Whisky Brown-Copper.

In addition to the Parker 51 Signet (Herbin Bleu Verrerie) I was using yesterday, I've been flitting from pen to pen like a spring chickadee:

• Last night, the Leonardo MZG Nocciola Cuspide with the cursive italic nib (Waterman Mysterious Blue), which I'm coming to terms with. The flexibility of titanium is an odd match with a CI nib, since it can make the sweet spot into a moving target, but some of the minor trouble I was having with this nib seems to have been resolved by using a better-lubricated ink, and some of it has been resolved by using it more and getting the feel for it; although I was a little worried that I might end up with permanent buyer's remorse about the nib (though not the pen), I'm now feeling more optimistic.

• Also last night, the Omas 361 Extra (Lamy Petrol). No notes, just cool, sleek pleasure.

• This morning, the Summit S.125 (Waterman Brown). No notes, just staid, buttoned-down pleasure.

I'll probably switch over to the pens I have filled with the new Taccia Ukiyo-e Kuniyoshi inks (Budounezu and Kuromidori) at some point today, both of which I'm enjoying a lot. The Kuromidori, in particular, is sneaky and weird and fun; behind the red-orange sheen it's a sort of green leaning teal-black that I really like and which doesn't look like anything else I own.

Asvine J16 Ebonite.  I put a Franklin Christoph SIG Medium on it - I thought that the BB was great, but I really like the Medium even a little bit better as it hits the sweet spot of being broad enough to have variation, but small enough to use for my everyday writing - at least on Mnemosyne.  It also really shows off the subtle shading of Lamy Azurite, reminding me why that ink is special to me.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
