Noodler’s Squeteague - A shading ink

Just check the chroma:

Squeteague is a first nation name for Weakfish, native to the North Eastern Coast of North Amercia. The colour of this ink is inspired by the teals colour of the spots found on its head and back.

This is a delightful ink for those who enjoy dark teals with shading and who don’t care for very long dry times, or use blotters. 

 

Ink has decent water resistance....

• Saturation: Nice and dark
• Shading Potential: Yes
• Sheen: No
• Spread / Feathering / Woolly Line: Not noticed…
• Nib Creep / “Crud”: Didn’t notice. 
• Staining (pen): Easy to clean…
• Clogging: Nope
• Water resistance: Some

Another nice review, @yazeh!  (I did feel kinda sorry for poor Mr. Fishy-out-of-water...)  It looks good contrasted with SBRE Brown.  And I love that shading.   Is it just me, or is there purple in that thar chromatogram?  Thanks for the review.

Thanks Liz. There is indeed a touch of purple. Unlike Baystate, this is truly complex.   Maybe would EF nibs, it'll have a better dry time.

Never considered trying chroma with BSB - it probably wouldn't show a thing - the same line / dot you started with.  Nearly everything has better dry times from EF nibs.

Beautiful review - I enjoyed it. The ink’s colour looks tempting, seems to shift from teal to green-black. Being named after a fish, the long drying times seem to be fitting 😉

Awesome review! This is one of my favorite colors from Noodler's. The shading, performance and color are all some of the best in the Noodler's line.
