Depeche Mode is back   great job @Detman101Funny, I cannot see the shading at all :)

It's subtle, but it's there -- the darker patches in some of the wider parts of the letters vs. the lighter patches elsewhere counts as shading (or so I've been told).

The color as it shows on my screen has too much green in it to be like Ama-Iro, I'd put it closer to Robert Oster Aqua or Diamine Marine. Thanks for the review!

Thanks, @Detman101!  The shading is the best part, but the color isn't for me.  Appreciate the review either way! :)

Oof...it came out reeeeally green in this scan. It's really more blue than it shows. But then again, maybe it's my eyes...or the lighting.

Hey hey!! :D You know...the shading does appear more minimal on the scan than it appears IRL. I'm thinking I may need to post a higher resolution scan, this one was 300dpi.
What scan settings do you all use? 🤔

That's wild...that's what I'm seeing too. It looks greener in the scan than it does IRL.

Anyhoo...I've got two more inks to review from this batch of samples from Vanness.
More to come friends...more to come. :)

I use 300 dpi. But I always try to add a photo.  This gives more visual cues....

Thank you, I'll be sure to do that as well from now on. :D 👍

Nice review - thanks. I also wanted to say that it was too green to be a cloud-blue. Could you add a photo here in the comments? Just to see whether it is anywhere close to Pelikan Topaz or iroshizuku kon-peki.

Will do!
Well, once I get back to my FP-pad at work (Where I did the ink review) heh...

I would have done another take on the review, but I just loaded up "Pelikan - Smoky Quartz" to test my new Flexy-Stub nib unit from Penrealm.

Some photo shots of the page...with and without flash...
Definitely more accurate and matches what I see on the page with my Mark-1 Eyeball.
The scan came out so...green!

Great @Detman101 the difference is night and day

True indeed! I think I need to add a backing sheet to anything that I scan on the scanner so the light from the scanner bed doesn't blow through the paper and change the recorded tone of the ink. 🤔
