😮 Congrats! When did you manage to get the green demonstrator and the Stresemann? I barely left you with just the classic right before Xmas!

 

I hope you do realize there's no turning back! Now... you know you have at least one essential missing 😜

 

 

PS: For your own sake and sanity, just stay away from the other Souverän models, not to say SE, LE and vintage ones!

@lamarax I got them yesterday. My daughter gave me the green demonstrator and my wife gave me the anthracite and the green/black. I got the all black one, not pictured, about 6 weeks ago.

 

Yes I have my eye on the M809 and I have purchased enough from Cult Pens for a 20% discount on my next purchase!

I remember when the M805 Stresemann came out.  Was drooling over it but of course, knew that that would be too big and heavy a pen for me.  But, at the time, was going, "Man -- if they brought that out in the M400 size?  I'd be knocking over banks to get the money to buy one!"  And then, when they actually DID bring out the M405 Stresemann a few years later?  It was the one time in my life that I had the discretionary budget for WHATEVER I WANTED!  And found it on eBay from Missing Pens and I saved money by buying it from Rolf (didn't have to pay the US distributor markup and he didn't have to charge me VAT because I was in the US, and back then eBay didn't automatically collect sales tax....  And then I said, "Hmmmm -- what else does he have?"  And ended up getting the M405 Blue Black as well (a bit more expensive than the M400 Blue Black, but there was just SOMETHING about that rhodium plated nib and trim...  ).  So hit the buy button after adding that to my cart as well.  And then, an hour later, got the "Did you know...." call from PayPal....  And after assuring them that yes, it was a legit purchase, got off the phone, looked at my husband and said, "OMG -- I really DID just spend that much on only TWO pens!" 

They still are my two most expensive pen purchases -- and by a large margin at that....

My wonderful, patient wife saw me shopping for a pen that was available in “faux Raden” finish.   She spoiled me with this Vanishing Point Raden…had no idea how much I loved it til I opened the box.  Also my best writing VP ever…maybe it’s in my head bc the nib says Namiki but golly it’s smooth.

Very nice!! Does the silver make it significantly different in balance than other Elites?

 

(We're Pilot pocket pen twinsies today: I broke down and bought a black stripe Myu, which came in today's mail, as the companion to the Murex I bought last year around this time. I can't help it, the integrated nib just makes me tingly.)

Excellent choice. I have an etched cap Elite. It gives me issues. It will write after being inked. Then not too much later, it doesn’t want to write. It has a B nib. I hope yours is an excellent writer.
