I got this pen today

@Misfit -- That Innova Lightning is GORGEOUS.  But I just took a look at the specs and that would be way too heavy a pen for me when posted (and yeah, I'm a "poster"...).

Thank you to @USG and @inkstainedruth for your kind comments. I don’t post all my pens that can be posted. Definitely post the small ones. Others, I put the cap on a table or my lap depending on where I’m sitting at the time of use. I didn’t realize how heavy the pen would be. I have the 20th Anniversary Innova, which is lighter vs the 25th Lightning version.

I just received, from a seller in Ukraine, a Parker Parkette De Luxe in black with silver trim. Ironically these Parker Depression pens make me very happy.

The pen arrived today in a 9” x 11” , or in that range, mailing envelope. I felt it, and thought Plumix. I opened it, and it’s the Pluminix, yes the little pen. It’s just tall enough to hold. The photo for it online made me wonder what I’d receive. I planned to be happy with either because of that lovely CM nib.

Yay! I was a little worried, too, after what you said about it not being uncommon to get the Plumix instead. Thank you for letting me know about this cute little pen. And it's a really good writer.

Got this one in the morning and what can I say... the nib is extra buttery and has long tines which looks amazing, it could be my EDC pen if not so lightweight and fancy. I might consider buying more of them just for the nibs tho they seem to be #5.

Let us know how do you like it after it arrives please! I really enjoyed the nib, wish it was at least #6... The pen itself is obviously school grade but still doesn't feel cheap. And the soft touch finish was a surprise too.

I finally succumbed and bought this pen. I was watching it on eBay, and received a 20% off offer. An online seller had a coupon offer that excluded TWSBI, Esterbrook and Retro 51. So, I jumped on the offer, accepted it. It’s the Esterbrook Estie Back to the Land Original Rock Brown with 1.1mm stub nib. I haven’t put ink in it yet. It’s between Diamine 150th Anniversary TerraCotta or a sample of Robert Oster Kansas City ink.

The “moral” of this post is to watch items on eBay. You might will get offers. I certainly do.

Edit: I think I’ll put the sample ink in it. When that’s empty, next will be Oster Orange Rumble that’s been described as a 1970s orange tone. The pen has a 1970s theme.

@Misfit, that’s a cute pen! It is definitely a very ‘70s color way. It reminds me of so many things-  mall decor, kitchen linoleum, teak wood.

My bedroom carpet was various shades of blue, teal, and green (parents built the house in 1975, before I was born) we had encaustic tile not long after.

Picked it up from the post office an hour ago.

Sheaffer Lifetime Flattop Oversize (circa 1928-34) in black and pearl.

The pen is in very good condition, except for the slightly discolored barrel. I've been looking for a pen like this for a long time and I'm very happy that I got it.

First impressions are excellent: large, comfortable body, big stiff nib. Hurray!large.IMG_0736.jpeg.14dae491e2dcf5b9dc664303ca6ae838.jpeglarge.IMG_0737.jpeg.190182a77dfe34dde7437724c5e596ab.jpeg

I ordered a Monteverde 25th Anniversary Innova Lightning pen with 1.1mm stub nib. It has iridescence, and a carbon fiber look. It’s a bit heavy, so a metal pen as well. The nib is black in color. As I turn it, the color changes, on the cap, blind cap end and the pen body.

I got one of these (shakes fist at Misfit, but in a very friendly way). Haven't tried the pen yet, but that included ink! I don't use black ink much as a rule, but I've got Herbin Perle Noire for just such an occasion, I sampled the "Lightning" black and hoo boy! Approach with caution, hide the children, and watch out for any birds in the area, because that stuff will out-feather them all, The sample writing was done with a needle-fine glass dip pen (apologies for the handwriting. I don't do my best work with a) glass dip pens or b) hunched over the edge of the bathroom sink). For contrast, there's a pic of Herbin's Bleu des Profondeurs written with the same pen on the same smooth cardstock swatch card (Wearingeul and they make me laugh every time the Chessy grin comes through). The pen is lovely and I'm looking forward to using it. WARNING! on that ink, though.
