Today it is my Waterman 0652 and 52 1/2V, I got them back yesterday from Main Street Pens AKA Ron Zorn. He did a really nice job of bringing them back to life.20240923_190506.thumb.jpg.2a4f552427d3346c5e30abf1cd3f0ba7.jpg20240923_190408.thumb.jpg.f7dc7297717da5b5a65c74b3033aa8d4.jpg20240923_190544.thumb.jpg.0ebc510e67d1a70358851e6404b779cf.jpg

Nice!  What are the nibs on them and how do they write, now that they've been rehabbed?

They are both #2, I inked the 0652 with Diamine Autumn Oak, It didn't like it. Flushed it out and went with my safety ink, Waterman Serenity Blue and it writes great. The smaller one will have to wait awhile before I ink it..

Interesting.  But no, what I actually meant was, what are the nib widths? (F/M/B/etc).  Sorry for not making myself clearer.

Have not tried Autumn Oak but tend to not like orange inks just in general.

These are my 1st two pens, just recently acquired.  The Sailor is from Yoseka Stationary, and the other from Galen Leather.  At 62 yrs old I guess I can find something new to do.

Well, I still work as an Operations Director on Ft Cavazos, and have hifi (audiophile level music listening) as an activity. Photography and an occasional hike, run or bike ride too.

I have a 3d pen on the way from Good Pen Life vendor from Japan.  She (Yumiko) has 100% rating and from what I can tell seems like it will be ok.  It will be a Namiki Fuji and Waves.

I have current "space" for 22 pens.  At an average cost. as my tastes refine. of what will likely turn out to be between 600-800 per (some 250$, some 1200$+..lol), it might take

a few units of time to arrive.....

Is the one from Galen Leather ebonite?  It has that sort of matte finish that I think of for ebonite.

Be sure and save some $ for the next case. It will happen.  BTW I have B&W 804s.

I wish I had more ebonite pens.  There's a warmth to the ebonite that you don't get with other materials.

The 0652 is in my humble opinion a fine with just a bit of flex. I had a #2 in a frankenpen I bought about the same time as this one and it flexed like crazy... That pen got a FPR nib in it and that #2 went in the nib box. I may drag it out someday and try it with a different feed/section combination to see if behaves better for me. I journal alot and don't get to fancy. Plus I am still learning to fix all the dead pens that I find here in Florida. There are still several I won't touch, lol I still find several I won't risk making worse and ship them to Ron...

I have some fancy Pilot Orange ink in it now and I do think I like it a bit more than the Sailor.

Anyway, don't mean to hog forum "space", still learning my way around, ..so far, I am not seeing a like button under people's postings; maybe I am too new to be provided that to use...or it is not a forum feature.....

@Pete of Killeen -- Ron Z is right.  OTOH, there is the .gif/emoji link at the top of the screen where you type in text.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
