Dang - could not help myself.   First NEW in the box pen I have bought in a long time.  About a halfhour old.

I would love to know more about this pen please.
AmberLea sent one to me long ago and I have never known the history on it.

As the photo post is over a year old, the pen is a Delta Dolce Vita.  Oversize or not, I can’t tell from the photo.

Yes, it's the (new) Delta Dolce Vita 2.0 Original mid-size GT piston filler, with a JoWo #6 14K nib. The Oversize has a #8 18K nib and looks much more stubby.

Awesome!
I will have to inspect it more later. I haven't been able to bring myself to ink it up since it arrived...it's just....beautiful.
Whether it gets used or not...I'm honored that she selected me to own it. :crybaby:

Indeed, it's dazzling! Forgot to add that the -new- Oversize, as opposed to the classic 90s model, isn't a piston filler (it's a converter/eyedropper), so it lacks the ink window.

New (to me) Pelikan M405 Stresseman (EF) arrived today. Loving it so far. :)

The order from Galen Leather arrived today. It’s their collaboration with Kaweco of a transparent Sport pen in Vivianite green, with a 1.1mm stub nib.

The Pelikan M809, which came today. I ordered it on December 30, so last 2025 purchase.

My goal is not to buy another pen till Fountain Pen day sales. But I will gladly accept pens as gifts!

Welcome to the dark side! Thoughts compared to the other M800s you got recently?

I haven't inked it yet, will do that soon. It is a gorgeous pen. The barrel has a very different feel, which I like.

It looks great between my black and anthracite M800s

I just inked it with Diamine Onyx, which I have never used. The M809 doesn't write as well as my other M800s, but maybe it is the ink? In the others I have Diamine cool green, Deep Dark Green, Deep Dark Red, and Majestic Blue and I get thicker lines and a smoother feel with these other four inks in my M800s.

I've read several reviews of Diamine Onyx that said it's not the most free-flowing of inks. I've never used it, though. 🖋️

Here's a photo of the Stresseman and a writing sample with Edelstein Aventurine. It's an EF, but it seems to have a very stub like character. Not complaining at all.

@Ted Nashe Thanks, that is probably the difference. When I get a chance I'll ink it with something I am familiar with.

I do like stealthy black pens. It looks great where you placed it with its fellow flock.

That’s a beautiful black pen. Cool to know that the EF writes like a stub. I’ve either heard about EF nibs writing like stubs or encountered it with my own pens.
