@Misfit, that’s a cute pen! It is definitely a very ‘70s color way. It reminds me of so many things-  mall decor, kitchen linoleum, teak wood.

I probably should have gotten the Quirky Leaf Green version. It’s like appliance green. But the Original Rock was the one calling me.

@Pen Ffynnon congratulations on getting the 25th Anniversary Innova Lightning, which is not a shy pen. Waving back! 🤗

I love it! That woven area (and the rainbow colors) got me! I'm still shaking my fist at you, but it's a very, extremely friendly fist. :D

And congrats on your pen! I liked all three (and if I get another (to go with the blue), it'll be that Original Rock. It was a hard choice to make between the three.

I agree. They all look very appropriate for the marketing. I wish they were lower priced. Mine came with a car air freshener in the shape of the USA, and a blue magnetic pen holder. What did yours come with?

I got the blue magnetic pen holder (I wonder why they didn't do them in colors to match the 3 pens?) and a little sample vial of (I think) Esterbrook Aqua ink. And there was a little cardboard ruler in the box.

My hints worked. For fathers day my daughter gave me the Onoto "The Faraday."

I teach electromagnetic fields so Faraday is like a hero to me.

This is my first "expensive" fountain pen. I do have many Mont Blanc roller balls.

Looking forward to inking it later today with some Diamine Royal Blue.

The pen is in very good condition, except for the slightly discolored barrel. large.IMG_0736.jpeg.14dae491e2dcf5b9dc664303ca6ae838.jpeg

I have a Parker Senior Deluxe Duofold from the same era with the same discoloration.  Very common.

I got this one today. I never even looked at Caran d'Ache pens as I know how expensive the brand is. Even this model is not what I'd be able to afford on a regular basis. But I saw it for just like 22 pounds and 1 pound shipping. When I realised what I was looking at I noticed the listing was posted a few minutes ago so I immediately bought it out. I never owned anything from this luxury brand and it feels a wee weird to write with this pen, but it is a pen of some terrific quality and I love it already. Unfortunately it wasn't the Black Code version, but fortunately it is mine :D

It is Caran d'Ache 849, if anything. The condition was near mint (just some minor scratches) and the pen was cleaned properly so I didn't have to flush it even - just inked right away.

😍 Lucky you @boilermaker1975! Congrats and enjoy!

I'm still waiting for my ebonite Magna to ship... why, oh why didn't I think of specifying it was meant as a -now past- birthday present? :wallbash:

Thanks! Hope I didn't waste all my luck on it.

No, no! Now it's your lucky pen, so if anything, you'll have more luck!

It's lovely! An art object that's also useful.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
