@inkstainedruth I'm so glad it was your bag! Even with everything else, that's a happy ending. :) Now, go get some sleep!

And cheers to @Misfit for making the connection!

Thank you. When I saw that on Reddit, and shared it here, I didn’t expect too much. Then, when @inkstainedruth posted it was likely hers, I could hardly believe it. I’ve seen so many of her posts, it feels like she’s a virtual neighbor. I never expected to connect the owner to the pen case. It is simply amazing it happened. I’m happy for Ruth because of her lost Pelikan Cafe Creme pen. I’m glad she got a happy ending.

And I'm so grateful that you shared the link!  Because I really thought it had disappeared at my hotel.  It never occurred to me that I'd lost it at the show.  And it turned out that the person who posted the image on Reddit is someone I know slightly from other shows I've been to (just didn't recognize the screen name).

And I've now been in contact with Martin Ferguson (whose table it was found at) and he's going to see about getting the pens in it repaired.

But it really has been a stressful couple of weeks.  I had considered going to a party at a friend's house, for "Pi Day" but them emailed the person and said, "I'm too wiped -- even though I just bought a frozen chocolate cream pie to bring...."  I even bailed early on my pen club meeting last night, after taking 2 months' worth of paper and cardboard to the nearby recycling center (since I missed last month's meeting because of being sick...).

Probably didn't help that I tried to sit up to watch the lunar eclipse last night, but gave up about 15 minutes before totality.  And then let myself sleep in, and am NOT getting up at the crack of dawn to go to any estate sales tomorrow EITHER....  Just going to mostly sit in front of the TV clearing stuff off the DVR, I think, and maybe testing some of the inks I got at B/W last weekend.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Diabolo de Cartier.

Plastic pen with 18k nib, medium. The nib seems a bit small to me in relation to the overall size of the pen. But the pen is well made, the section is comfortable and I like the shape of the cap.

Oh! Porsche design on the left? Interesting and unusual pen. Is yours made by Pelikan or Faber-Castell?

Cartier had some designs with small nibs. The cap of te Diabolo is unique and gives the pen a striking personality. Congratulations.

I am assuming Faber-Castell, but not sure how I can tell.  It did not come with the box or paperwork.

I would assume so as well.  Pelikan didn't take over until late in the game and I don't think they did any FPs.

So today I received a Santini Giant 8 faceted Rosewood pen with a cursive italic nib that I bought during a recent sale. As fine as they are, the pictures don’t do it justice.  The acrylic material is incredible, having the coppery chatoyance reminiscent of Omas Arco bronze in places, while other parts resemble Omas Burlwood celluloid.  The CI nib is relatively fine and glides over the paper, like the other Santini CI nibs I have.  Not being much of a photographer, I’ve linked the Santini webpage pictures, for anyone interested in seeing it.

My MontBlanc for BMW Starwalker has arrived. She’s soooo cute! Cleaned the nib out and debating between the included black cartridge, Midnight Blue, and Coral Red.

Gorgeous pen! Congratulations! And you know I'm going to vote red on the ink. 🙃 For the contrast, you know.

Thanks. I did end up with Midnight blue, because my converter technically fits, but felt a bit tight in the barrel (this pen is marketed as cartridge only) and I didn’t want it to get stuck. I forgot about my Kaweco mini converter until this morning. Next time.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
