Here are the pens I got today. The first are Levenger True Writers in Northern Lights and Carrara. Plus a bottle of a new Levenger ink Sugar Plum. I ordered the pens because they were half off. And there was a coupon code that worked on the ink.

At a gift exchange with friends (and dinner) I received the following from the married couple.

Ths inks appear to be shimmer inks. The dip pen is glass with a pen rest. No brand is on it. There is also a magnetic bookmark or pen holder. Plus a little notebook that was chosen for me.

Beautiful Levenger pens. 😀👍   I can't wait to see what that ink looks like on paper...  speaking of paper, would it be possible to use Iroful or Cosmo Snow to see if the ink has any hidden properties.... 😲

Anyway, great haul.....  Merry Christmas !!!! 🎅

@USG good idea on paper choice. I’ll try to get that done as soon as I can. I have to find my pack of Iroful paper.

Didn’t locate the Iroful, but here are Cosmo papers.

Soooo...Canada Post was on strike and now the flood gates are open!!

These all arrived in the last week or so.

Two Esterbrook desk pens (requiring new sacs) two bases to use with the pens.  A Moonman V60, a Parker Duofold Senior (has an engraving and missing some fins on the feed but writes well) , a Parker IM and a Lamy 99 with chip from cap and cracked section..piston works but importantly...the 14k nib will swap into a Lamy 2000. I have an EF and M L2k but the M is too much..so it will get this nib..looks like F....all this and still more in the system!!

Yes, the number 10 nib size. It looks like a harpoon. The sticker is on the back of the barrel.

Another week and more pens!! Still 3 more from early November to catch up!

A couple Nahvalur, a beautiful ebonite PLP and a couple Waterman CFs. The gold one actually has some fairly easy flex on the 18k nib (medium to 1mm?). The silver one I am still in the process of disassembly/ cleaning.

I like the golden Waterman and the writing looks nice!

I have a few of these CFs now - a fun little pen, surprised with such a small nib that some of them have flex. This one is 18k although others I have are 14k

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.
    • Ceilidh
Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
