Montblanc Heritage 1912

I say try some J. Herbin inks that are wet flowing. I went on goulet pens website and checked the ones that has a high flow from users' reviews.

Completely in love with this pen. Recently came back from a touch up by Montblanc and it's in like new condition. I'm really surprised how relatively little attention it got here.
 

The nib is absolutely superb, it's soft (bouncy soft, not flexy soft) and smooth and gorgeous.

 

The build quality is the best I've seen on a Montblanc pen, no more wiggly cap, everything fits perfectly, the mechanism to retract the nib is precise and smooth, same goes for the piston assembly, which is even better than on the 149; it does not have the free turn at the end with a rubber band like snapback feel to it. The cap threads are perfect with clear indication it's about to thread fully within 1 additional turn, after which there's a bit more resistance to it, until it stops fully. Despite the variance in resistance towards the latter end of the thread, tactile action is scaled linearly - an absolute joy to operate. In contrast to the 149, which you can keep tightening and tightening, to the point of overtightening and you never really get that satisfying feeling of "this is fully tightened".

 

The precision manufacture of this pen is unlike anything I have ever seen on any other pen. Obviously I'm in the minority, but I greatly appreciate that.

You really seem to love it,  I agree with most of those points, engineering is really high level, it's like having one of those 1910-20s eye dropper but with modern mechanics and quality
my only personal downside for that pen was the weight, I like them lighter.

Yeah, I wanted one for a long time, but it surprised me as well just how much I love it. I have a pretty significant collection, both MB and non-MB, and besides my 149 calligraphy flex, this is my favorite pen. I've also had it long enough for the "honeymoon" period to wear off. 
 

It is quite heavy indeed, and wouldn't be my first choice for longer writing periods, but I'm using it as a notetaker at work; to-do lists, task priority sorting and stuff like that, so the weight never becomes an issue.

It really sounds like you got yourself a great pen, I can certainly relate to the honeymoon period, thats really an important point if you keep using it. I think the Heritage 1912 is a sort of unicorn pen in the MB offer. Selling it for me was more a timing/financial decision than the desire to let it go but I am comforted that it went to someone who appreciate it. 👏

It is a lovely pen indeed. I have two, one with an F nib and one with a B nib. The B is my preferred, even though I normally go for F or EF nibs. It's s stub nib, really.
