Parker 25 orange?

G-S

Recommended Posts

I stumbled on an auction from a former Parker salesman, there are some other items in the same auction that seem to support that statement like display specimen pens and such:

The Parker Snake and Norman Rockwell might be a bit much for me, but I found this Parker 25 in orange, I remember reading somewhere that these are quite rare. Is this one for real?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello GS,

Yes. It's for real and fairly rare. The P25 was made in England and ran from 1975-1994.

Orange only ran for 1975-76 and not many were sold.

ETA:  What I'm saying is yes, the color is for real; whether or not this PARTICULAR specimen is REAL,  I wouldn't say without inspecting it in my hands. :)

Good luck.

- Sean  :)

Snag it.
Even though the nib is probably replaced sometimes, snag it. The original nib had a vent hole but these are easily replaced. The box shown in one of the pictures is not the original box, but who cares if the P25 is orange.  Current bidding is very low.

Wow, don’t get me wrong, a lovely pen, but when the standard versions sell for so little, you’d have to be a real Parker 25 fan to get £315 of value from it.

The love for this pen really surprises me.  I had one many years ago.  It wrote horribly and was one of the worst pens I've ever owned.  For me, a pen with no redeeming features at all.   I think I chucked it eventually....

Hello! Seeing as this is the most recent discussion. Does anyone know if an Orange Parker 25 is for sale anywhere?

If I had one I'd certainly sell it to you for an extraordinary king's ransom........  ;)

This says orange but it looks red to me....

haha thank you😁! Wow it's already on such a high price😑  Do you think it'll stay at that price point? I've been lucky to have inherited a collection of P25's, Im after the green and the orange, but I have no indication of the prices

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
