Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Robert Oster Blue Night

This is review #62 in my series.  Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: Color is a little more blue and a little less blue-black than the zoom shows. Easy cleaning with just a few flushes of plain water. :)

And here is a screen of the final result, for those not interested in the video:

That's a nice deep blue. Funny I always though Robert Oster inks were on the wet side :)

Let's see what Quintus will find in the Sphinx, a riddle?! ;)

If you've mostly used the blue ones, that would be understandable.  Many of the other colors seem to be on the dry side.

🤐 You'll just have to wait and see.

Great review - nice to be able to take one off my list for a change ;)

:) Thank you!  Glad to disable you?  Deable?  Unenable? Nonable?  Misable?  Well, glad to safe you some money, anywho. ;)

Very nice colour this one. I had a sample of it that allowed me to test it out - I liked it a lot, and there was a very nice purple undertone to it. I don’t remember any dryness though, but I think I have a very high tolerance level in this respect 😀

:) Yes, slight purple.  As to the lubrication issue, I suspect that really depends on the pen.  In a dry Japanese EF, you'll feel it.  It a wetter or larger nib, perhaps not.  (Yet another reason to use samples!)

Here's the line width measurement. The line is one of those used for dry time.  Magnification is 100x.  The grid is 100x100µm.  The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each.  The line width for this ink is roughly 315µm.
