I went to Oblation with a friend and picked up the new Lamy inks, Petrol and Sepia, as well as an Inkvent tiny bottle of Diamine Chilly Nights. For my local Portland area friends, Oblation opened their leftover Inkent calendars and is selling the bottles à la carte for $5.

Wanted to try another Teranishi ink after using & really liking Nostalgic Honey, but I couldn't decide which one would be next... so I bought 4 (Gentle Green, Orchestra Tangerine, Smoky Navy, Antique Black).

But now my ink box is full, which means I have to stop, right? (Right?)

As part of an order, I got Diamine Green Edition Spiced Apple, a chameleon ink.

Interesting. Bit of shimmer too. Looked it up.... Now I have my sights set on Diamine Best Wishes, because I followed a link...

Did your research show shimmer? I thought it wasn’t. I don’t want or need anymore shimmer inks. I thought they labeled chameleon plus shimmer if it had shimmer. Darn it! I should have done some research. Grrr! I don’t want shimmer. Aaugh!

From what I saw, yes. At least, what it showed on Goulet. If I am incorrect, please feel free to correct me.

@Grayfeather oh you are correct. I wish it wasn’t the case. But you are indeed correct. Fie! I could have got Three Kings. But I liked the idea of a chameleon ink. I just don’t want any more shimmer inks, but as I mentioned, I should have looked for reviews first.

I used the contact form, and left a voice message to ask for Three Kings to be substituted for Spiced Apple. I did originally look for yellow inks because I was buying the Monteverde Invincia Vega in Starlight Yellow.

@Misfit

I assume by chameleon you are talking about color changing ink? I know I talk about Monteverde a lot because I particularly like their pens and they're the inks and they're affordable. However, Monteverde does make a couple of color changing ink deals. I'm not sure exactly how that works but I know they're fairly inexpensive.

@Misfit, for beautiful sheening inks with no shimmer, try Ostrich  inks. They really do change colors depending on how the light hits them. Pen Savings carries them. There is a separate series that does have shimmer, but it’s only two colors and I don’t think that they’re available from US vendors yet. If you decide to order them, let me know and I’ll find a discount code for you.

Thank you for telling us about this ink. And thank you for the discount code offer.

I didn’t see an email from Pen Chalet. Hopefully they listen to the phone messages.

I just looked at the link, and while that one didn't wow me, the Emerald Green looks quite nice....

Sigh.  Another site to peruse more deeply....  And we just got our borough property tax bill in the mail today....  And that won't be NEARLY as bad as the school tax bill when it comes.... :crybaby:

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
