Okay. You mentioned it in your post?

Where? I've never heard of it. Does Mink stand for something else?

Sorry, I misread it. Mink was a TW model.

There’s a Timeline of TWs from 1999 when they were first introduced. There have been hundreds of them, so I’m not really sure how they arrived at the ones that are included in the Timeline. It’s on the Levenger site, go to the bottom and then Company. I tested the 🔗 to it but it didn’t work.

Thank you, and thank you for the photos. Much appreciated.

I first saw the True Writer Mink on Flickr. It was posted by Margana who writes the Inkophile blog.

This is from her blog, and the Mink True Writer is on the left side.

Just searched eBay for True Writers. The first hit is a Mink one… for $80. That’s too high for me.

Thank you for the info! It is a pretty pen!

@Ceramicist I’ve found if you wait, and it might will take years, eventually the True Writer you want shows up on eBay. The first one I waited years for was the Sea Glass. The one I found was sold with the matching mechanical pencil. Years later, Levenger brought back Sea Glass.

Yes. it seems that way with most everything. I collect teddy bears, and a rare one came up at auction. The auctioneer only aceepted a bank transfer, and since I wasn't familiar with him or his auction, I decided not to bid. A year or so later, the exact same bear appeared on eBay and I bought him.

@Ceramicist Do you name your Teddy Bears? Or should I type Ted E. Bears? That is a very cute bear.

Yes I do! This is Bruno. He is a Jopi (short for Joseph Pittman, the manufcaturer). Thanks so much. He has quite the personality.

Thank you for the information on the manufacturer. I name my stuffed animals too. And they certainly can have personality. I don’t collect them though.

@Ceramicist Bruno needs a red True Writer. I’m on the search for the True Writer Flourish Cranberry. I have the Flourish Forest. I’d like to have the Flourish Frost as well. They came out in 2007 according to the True Writer history website. They look like a Christmas trio, and have gold tone trim.

You're welcome! I also name my animal sculptures as it is an essential part for me to "bring them to life." Not literally, of course, but it helps me imbue them with lifelike characteristics.

I am laughing about Bruno needing a red True Writer. Hmmm. Now you've piqued my interest and I don't even have my first two True Writer purchases in hand. I will be on the lookout for Flourish Cranberry and Flourish Frost for you!

I have both of the flourish too. They’re really nice and the gold plated nib helps them.
