True Writer Pen Collection - So Far

I now wait for a sale that gets the ink down to lower than $15. They had a sale that got the ink under $15 earlier this year, and I got two bottles.

 

I checked, and I got the ink for $17.xx

Those are both really nice. I’m still looking but I can’t get to $75 by adding stuff to the item I actually want and I refuse to pay the shipping of $9.95.

I just ordered the True Writer Classic Sapphire Mosaic and the True Writer Origins Anniversary. I received the Sapphire Mosaic free. I hope I love them!

@Ceramicist I have the Sapphire Mosaic. It’s a lovely pen. Air is my element, for whatever that’s worth. I chose Chromatic for the riot of colors.

You’re correct on that. I have an item that’s not free shipping but I’m not finding other stuff to get to $75. I probably misconstrued this in the 2 posts above.

I'm so happy to hear that! I chose the Sapphire Mosaic because it reminded me of van Gogh's Starry Night. The Chromatic is delicious looking! What inks do you usually use in each pen?

I put Edelstein Tanzanite in the Sapphire Mosaic. Sapphire is my birthstone. I have a 10ml bottle of sapphire ink by J Herbin. Maybe someday I’ll get Edelstein Sapphire. 
 

The Chromatic will have so many inks to match to. It will be nice to see it in person. I usually match inks to pen color.

It’s a Freeleaf item on sale for $21.95 and I refuse to pay $12 for tax and shipping. For the true writer fps, I currently use mostly the Select (I had bought the 5 colors in FP & RB), so I’m not really looking for any new Pens at this point (and a slew of the regular TW). I have several RBs with the Levenger Fiber tip 2.0 I’m using day to day and some with regular rb refills and some G2 in bold. I know it at some point they have a free shipping with no minimum. I’m just going to wait.

I'm going to check out those inks. Yes, the Chromatic is a riot of colors...such fun to ink up, I'm sure. I sometimes match my ink choice to the pen's color(s) or I choose a contrasting ink. Going to page 13 now!

I got the True Writers today that I ordered on buy one, get one day. 
 

 

The top pen is my favorite of the two, the Sapphire Mosaic. The lower pen is the Larimar blue. Both have M nibs.

@Ceramicist eBay sends emails about True Writer fountain pens. Too often they are rollerball or ballpoint. I got excited that the Mink version was available in fountain pen, but it wasn’t a fountain pen.

I got one of my Mink FPs when they closed their store in Boca Raton for $9.95 with a M nib. I’ll never forget as I knew the manager and afterwards an employee in the store got peeved because they wanted it.

I'm not familiar with the Mink version and can't find anything about it.

Their ink has always been shrouded in secrecy as to who made it and where and I believe those two factors have changed through the years. The cartridges used to be much better when they were color coded on top & after that change the plastic was harder making it difficult to squeeze for jump starting plus there was a period where the ink in them would not circulate. I was a big fan of the long ones with the international and Parker different ends and still have a board of them.

By the way in case you didn’t see it, it seems LEAVES25 gets a further discount on sale items and JUSTFORYOU50 gets $50 free shipping. You can’t use both. I got to $50 but one of the items gets no discount one does but however I cut it with the discount or the shipping I’m still not happy with it. 😊.
