B6 Binder With Rings And Fpf Paper?

GreenMountain

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I would like a small to very small binder with removable/movable paper that comes with Tomoe River or other good paper, hole punched to fit the binder. Preferably leather or fabric...not plastic.

Can anyone think of such a beast? Something like this, but of course with rings, B6 or smaller. For ink tests.

Now of course I could use the old filofax system, but I don't like the shape of the holes, not to speak of the paper. I guess I could find a small box and use Exacompta cards. But I'd really like a binder.

Not taken with the Colorring system

Here's a binder:

https://vdsshop.com/shop/c/custom-made/pt:b6/b6-30mm/248/

Tomoe sheets are available online.

Don't know where you are, but you may be able to find a cutting service like this:

https://papercutz.co.uk/custom-paper-cutting

And punch the holes yourself

to add: You could alternatively purchase a Tomoe B6 notebook and cut the pages in half with a guillotine

Add lightness and simplicate.

I was given a notebook similar to a Field Notes notebook (same size)by a friend. Made with Tomoe River. Picked up on amazon a leather cover. One side of the cover of the notebook just slips in. Real handy too.

Wow...those Van der Spek binders are beautiful! Thanks, Kar. It's the spacing of the hole punch that has me wondering in terms of adding paper.the site doesn't list the ring dimensions or spacing. I used to have a 6-hole punch for some sort of planner but that is long gone.
Also, am looking for B6 slim, not B6. Yes, fussy, fussy. Index cards sound good for the moment...now, where did I put them?

Oh, I just checked for "all products on the VDS website and found their Mini binder, and then searched on it and found the VDS facebook page. Th

is is looking promising. I have emailed them to see what the exact ring spacing is and whether they sell a punch or whether there is a punch available somewhere in the world!

And Ute, I have the Kokouyo IDEA notebooks, similar to Field Notes, and they are great...not too fat. One can't, however, swap pages around as in a binder.

I wrote to VdS at Facebook asking about the rings on its smallest binder and this was the reply:

Here is the information for our Mini: Paper size: 68 x 108 mm (+/- 2.68 x 4.25 inches) Ring distance: 19 - 25,5 - 25,5 - 19 mm
Unfortunately I don't know where you could purchase a commercial hole punch.

Best, Petra

Now, assuming that I want one ink color per page, is 68 x 108 optimal? Not sure. Will experiment by cutting up paper. I think I'll trouble VdS for the dimensions of a binder the next size up while looking for a hole punch that would comply with the mini spacing.

Wonder why VdS doesn't put dimensions on its website...I like to see the details. As with travel, half the enjoyment of
paraphernalia is in the planning.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
