The link you posted is to a Solitaire, with a wood barrel. I was looking for the 146 burgundy resin and metal filler cone. como is probably right it is the reference 125303, but I can not find a photograph of this model capped, or without cap, but not posted, so to be able to see the final...

Hi fpupulin, I ordered this pen (146) from my local shop yesterday (broke down after 20 min of agony :D ). This reference number is on my invoice so I can be quite certain that it is correct. Am curious if it's a true Burgundy or a bit of a raspberry colour as some photos show. Either way I will find out very soon and I will enjoy it.

The pen is posted, and there is no other available photo, so I just guess it has a metal filler cone. This is the only image I can find of reference 125303, as suggested by como (thank you, como).

I can not find it, anyway, in Montblanc's website.

Good for you, Como. It will be great to see some photos. I plan to wait until the local MB Boutique reopens and I can see the pens to make a decision.

Congratulations in advance for your pen, como!

Of the various Petit Prince releases, this is without a doubt the pen that I find the most desirable. Functional opulence...

Out of curiosity and slightly off-topic: is it true that this is the last pen of the series? I remember hearing or reading at a certain point that Montblanc had a 3-year deal with the Antoine de Saint Exupery Foundation or something like that and this should be the last year.

Can anyone confirm, preferably from a reliable source?

In some pictures it looks like a much deeper purple than the old burgundy 146's

The 146R, 144R and 114R were the lighter bordeaux resin plastic, a different hue than the old Montblanc burgundy celluloids that this new pen appears to emulate.

Ah, I see. Thank you. I like the depth of colour and could be tempted. I think it's one I'd need to see in the flesh.

Oops, sorry for missing it. Thank you!

And I kept calling the first in the series "Universe" :D :D :D , while it's actually called "Fox"... Not sure where I got the idea from, maybe the colour...

Whilst the pen is very tempting, the second Version release, limited edition, in full metal is my favorite

I feel somewhat irritated. I just purchased a Le Petit Prince Legrand rollerball (Blue), and it looks like just as I did it has been discontinued. Further, I realized I can only use the legrand refills. :-(

Thoughts?

Oh right. I see what you mean. The 146 (125303) wasn't listed on the Montblanc site when I saw the Solitaire. Now I see the resin 146 in Appelboom's photo, and it is indeed hard to tell if it's the same as the one on the Montblanc photo in your post, since part of the pen, the silver piston knob, isn't showing. That lack of consistency throughout the photos makes me hesitate to order the pen.

Montblanc's website shows the 146 LeGrand on marketing pictures as mentioned above uncapped:

https://www.montblanc.com/en-shop/landingpages/petitprinceplanet.html?glCountry=DE&awc=12524_1586110248_62ffce39439d665e4b7f111e368fa2aa&utm_source=AWIN&utm_medium=Skimlinks&utm_campaign=Sub+Networks&utm_content=78888

It has the gold filling knob at the end.

Cheers

Michael

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
