Yet another 149 will be joining the collection. I'm a sucker for a pretty nib...

Just added a Rollerball to my collection :) Just not any Rollerball :) The 75th Anniversary Solid 18K Gold 162 Le Grand Rollerball, which is limited to only 75 pieces :)

I also treated myself to a very nice German made watch, to go with the pen :)

Got this yesterday:

fpn_1583721361__montblanc_meisterstck_14

The nib is different from any other modern pseudo-flex I have tried before. More similar to some of my vintage flexes, but not the same. I'm just learning how to use it properly. But I have to confess that I had a funny day playing with the Calligraphy nib. This is the second Meisterstück 149 that I bought new, as I feared that supplies would not last. The other 149 I bought new in 1978... and I am happy to have now this one to play with. 149 is a great pen, and I finally have a true EF nib...

My heartfelt congratulations to your purchase! Have really enjoyed seeing your writing.

Sorry for having joined the discussion on the permanent ink in flex pens late, but when I got mine from MB boutique, the sales rep brought up the topic and recommended against using permanent inks. She specifically mentioned that it is because of the tiny particles found in these inks. Hope that this info could be of a useful reference.

not a pen, but still montblanc:

a glass of egyptian blue ink

a glass of ultramarine ink (orange sheen)

fritz schimpf added a test vial of their own "niebla" (misty violet).

the scan is quite close to the real colours, at least on my (uncalibrated) screen:

Last week, I picked up a new Martele LeGrand in fine. Today, it's sister was delivered by the boys in brown: a Blue Hour LeGrand, also in fine. The Martele was just too flashy for business meetings. They both write smoothly. I am hopeful that the Blue Hour works out; I have yet to write more than a few lines after filling it with Kon-Peki.

146 platinum with extra fine nib is on its way. Also picked up three 146s from eBay for Christmas for mom, dad and myself. Picked up three bottles of JFK Navy Blue, two bottles of Heritage Grey and one bottle each of Emerald Green, Irish Green and Midnight Blue.

A pic of my 3 recent MBs. Sorry for the horrible writing; done holding up the pad with the other hand.

congrats. Still better than my "trying my best" writing! :D

Stopped by my local MB Boutique and walked out with a new Solitaire. It joins my two other 2020 MB purchases (Homer WE in M and O3B).

I'm very happy with it, some of my recent higher end pen purchases from companies that are not known to have QC issues have required help from nibmeisters to write like they should but this Solitaire was perfect out of the box.

The hammered silver body was just too much of a draw for me. I chewed over the decision about this pen for about a month, but knew it was one I was going to acquire at some point.

My wallet is just thankful they don't make something like this in the 13x style or I'd be in serious trouble.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
